Screenshots during the development of a microsite for a free personal research on the famous french fashion griffe. Recently those responsible for the houses’ marketing decided to take a step back in history and reestablished the brand replacing the full name variant and with it changed its font to a more simple sans serif. Yet, I personally had always been a fan of its distinctive classic design quite singular for its use of Italic letters.
This character research is as well an homage to the old logos design as also an attempt to add some modern more experimental features to its letters. Originally I was inspired by some oldfashion shots showing woman’s portraits with inclined lines in it.
